To create a new order for your customer using the Tamara Partner Portal, follow these steps:
1. Sign in to your account on the Tamara Partner Portal.
2. Click on “Create order” on the top right.
3. A new window will appear on the right, choose between generating a QR code or a payment link.
4. If you choose “payment link”:
- Enter the order amount
- The customer’s phone number
- Customer’s preferred language.
- Click “Place an order”
You can also switch to the advanced view, which will display additional optional fields, such as:
- Order reference
- Customer email address
- Expiry timer of the payment link
The customer will then receive a payment link via SMS to their registered number, which they can use to make the payment. If the customer doesn't receive the payment link, you can try generating a “QR code” instead.
5. If you choose “QR code”:
- Enter the order amount
- Customer’s preferred language
- Click “Place an order”
You can also switch to the advanced view, which will display an additional optional field, which is:
- Order reference
The code will then be generated on your screen and the customer will need to scan it to complete the payment.
Once the customer makes the payment, a confirmation message will appear, signifying the successful completion of the payment.
Please note that orders without payments will expire after 15 minutes, and new links/QR codes will have to be generated.
